BTB #91: ‘Indie’ Rules Come to Publishing

New York Round Table LogoIn a preview for the fifth annual New York Roundtable Writers’ Conference, April 24-25, organizer Leah Schnelbach predicts “the indie publishing model is the wave of the future.” As she tells Chris Kenneally, “the editor or the publisher and the author have much more of a shared stake in the book. They promote it together, they work on it together, it’s much more of a team effort.”

Conference keynotes include Wally Lamb, Alan Zweibel, and Lee Woodruff, co-author of the best-selling In an Instant, which chronicles her family’s recovery following her husband Bob’s roadside bomb injury in Iraq.
