The “Write Road to Success” leads to the annual conference in New York City of the American Society of Journalists and Authors. The three-day program begins Friday, April 29, at the Roosevelt Hotel and features more than 65 seminars and workshops led by editors, agents, established authors and subject matter experts. Previewing the program with CCC’s Chris Kenneally are Alexandra Owens, ASJA executive director, and Gina Roberts-Grey, 2011 conference chair.
Founded in 1948, the American Society of Journalists and Authors is the nation’s professional organization of independent nonfiction writers. ASJA’s more than 1,400 members are authors of magazine articles, trade books, and many other forms of nonfiction writing, and to join, each must meet the organization’s exacting standards of professional achievement.
