Chris PalmaCopyright Clearance Center’s online catalog now includes “preview” results from Google Books. When users choose a book title in the CCC catalog that is also available from Google Books, they can click on “Google Preview” to browse through the book just as they might in a library – and without ever having to leave the CCC Web site. This update includes a complete re-run of that call, as Palma explains how backlist, lightly marketed or out-of-print titles can reclaim their value by becoming available on the Web.
